HI, I’m Emily
I set up WILD YOGA in 2021, inspired by nature and all we can learn from venturing outside. It’s where you will find me when the sun is shining.
I teach Yoga in St. Albans, Hertfordshire and London in-person and online.
I practice because … For me, Yoga is a way of life. As a mum my life is SO busy, what was I even doing before!? My practice just can’t be a 90 min class. It’s a quick 10 mins here or there or a mediation whilst I’m driving (with The Happy Song on full blast).
However - like many, it was the physical aspect of the practice that drew me in initially (I found Yoga by signing up to as £30 for 30 day BIKRAM challenges back in 2011). After a few classes, I began to notice the inner impact it was having.
I teach because … I love to gather. I love to share Yoga with others and facilitate a space for others to experience these sacred practices in the hope that it offers tools to navigate life with a bit more strength, peace, ease and consistency.
My Approach
I teach Vinyasa Yoga*
I aim to theme each term, weaving the beautiful Yogic teachings into each class.
I teach a strong practice, building up a strong body and mind to balance the stretches that come with the asanas/postures.
IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW, I will always incorporate the breath and flow making the transitions from posture to posture playful, slow and indulgent. Encouraging you to drop out of the mind and cerebral and into the body and FEEL.
Ultimately I will help to achieve some headspace, tranquility and connection with the self.
*Vinyasa is simply a Sanskrit word for Intentional Movement with breath. A free and playful practice focusing on flowing the poses together in tandem with inhaling and exhaling.
